Privacy policy

This website collects very little data: only what you write in the contact form and the technical data it needs to work. It uses no analytics, advertising or profiling tools.

Contact form and email

If you use the contact form or email us, we process your name, email address, subject and message only to reply and to handle any follow-up to the conversation. The legal basis is your request (Art. 6(1)(b) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679). The message is delivered as an email to info@spidergit.eu and is not stored in the website’s database. We keep the correspondence for as long as needed to handle the request.

To protect the form from spam, the IP address of the sender is used in hashed form to count submissions, and the count deletes itself after one hour. If sending fails, the data you entered stays on the server for 10 minutes so the form can be shown to you again already filled in, and is then deleted.

Browsing data

Like any website, the server records in its technical logs data such as IP address, date and time, requested page and browser type. They are needed to keep the site working and secure (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f)) and are kept for the period set by the hosting provider.

Cookies

The website uses only one technical cookie: pll_language, which remembers the language you chose (English, Italian or Spanish) for one year. Technical cookies need no consent, and we use no analytics, advertising or profiling cookies. Fonts are hosted on the website itself: the pages load no resources from external services such as Google Fonts.

Who processes the data

The data is processed by the controller and, on its behalf, by the website’s hosting provider and the email service provider, to the extent needed to provide their services. We do not sell or share the data with third parties.

Your rights

At any time you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its processing, and receive it in a readable format, by writing to info@spidergit.eu. You can also lodge a complaint with your data protection supervisory authority.

The SpiderGit application

This policy covers the website. The SpiderGit application sends no data to us: workspaces, library and settings stay on your computer, and git operations only contact the remote servers of your repositories. Its only connection to our website is the update check, which downloads the file with the latest version number: like any visit, the request appears in the server’s technical logs (see “Browsing data”).
